Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz, other leaders not allowed to offer Friday prayer

SRINAGAR, (SANA): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik and Mukhatar Ahmad Waza continued to remain under house arrest in Srinagar and were not allowed to offer their Friday prayers.As All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) (G) Chairman Syed Ali Gilani came out of his residence to offer Juma prayers, the Indian troops arrested him and detained at Humhama police station.

The veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement strongly condemned the occupation authorities for using different tactics to prevent the people of Kashmir from their just struggle for securing right to self-determination. He said that the territory had been converted into a military camp and the authorities had become a toy in the hands of Indian Home Minister.

Meanwhile, a big protest demonstration was held at Gojwara Chowk against the continued detention of APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Hurriyat leaders and activists. On the occasion they raised pro-freedom slogans and demanded immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders and activists.
