In a statement issued from London, he said despite the fact that the MQM stood side by side with Pakistan’s armed forces in every possible way; but, the establishment did not value its sentiments, adding, “I do not know as to why the establishment is ill-disposed towards the MQM.”
The Muttahida chief was of the view that the establishment begins kicking in at the time when the party starts to cleanse itself from thieves.
“The riots and targeted killings are stoked in order to poke hurdles in the party’s reorganization.”
The MQM is the only political party that supported the armed forces in their operation against the terrorism, Altaf Hussain underlined.
It should be mentioned here that the MQM chief yesterday raised 14 questions for Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to answer. In his address to the party workers at 5pm today at Nine Zero—the MQM’s headquarters, Altaf Hussain will shed light on the questions put before the army chief.
