Countrywide rain forecast

bariISLAMABAD: Different cities of Punjab, Balochistan and northwestern upper parts experienced rain of light to moderate intensity yesterday, with Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasting more downpour today.

According to PMD, a westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist during next 24 hours.

The weather system will cause rain/thundershower coupled with gusty winds and isolated hailstorm at scattered places in Islamabad, Punjab, KP, FATA, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, north Baluchistan (Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi, Nasirabad divisions), upper Sindh (Sukkur, Larkana divisions) during next 24 hours.

Yesterday’s highest and other cities’ maximum temperature:  Sh. Benazirabad 41°C, Turbat, Sukkur, Padidan, R.Y Khan 38°C, Mithi 37°C.. Islamabad 17°C,  Lahore 24°C, Karachi 32°C, Peshawar 17°C, Quetta 23°C, Gilgit 20°C, Hunza 10°C, Murree 08°C, Skardu 15°C, Muzaffarabad 12°C, Faisalabad 26°C, Multan 32°C, Hyderabad 36°C.
