Court orders to hang Saulat Mirza on March 19

solatKARACHI: A local Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday issued black warrants for a death row convict Saulat Mirza.

The court ordered to hang Mirza early morning on March 19.

Mirza was sentenced to death by an anti-terrorism court in May 1999 for a triple homicide.

He was convicted for killing Managing Director of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation –now K-Electric– Shahid Hamid, his driver Ashraf Brohi, and security guard Khan Akbar in a July 1997 shooting.

In April 2014, he was transferred to Machh Jail, Balochistan, along with four high-profile prisoners.

His mercy plea was rejected by Sindh High Court, Supreme Court of Pakistan and President of Pakistan.

According to Samaa correspondent, ATC No.5 issued the black warrants after receiving an application by a senior police official. –
