ISLAMABAD, (SANA): Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has unfrozen voters lists across the country and restored clause 18 of electoral rules; meanwhile the Election Commission of Pakistan has asked the independent candidates, who have won the seats in elections, to submit certificates showing party affiliation till 25th May. The ECP also has asked the elected members of the assemblies to submit details of the expenditures till tomorrow (Tuesday). The ECP would issue notification of winners of the election on 22nd May.
The independent members would not be able to change their party till the completion of the tenure of the assembly. According to “SANA” the member who would change his loyalty he would become disqualified. The 18th amendment would be implemented on the new assembly; meanwhile no forward bloc could be formed and horse trading could not be done. Any person who will do this could become disqualified. Any member who would change his loyalty would have to resign from his membership of assembly.
The winning members of the assemblies who would not submit the details of the expenditures by tomorrow, the election commission would not issue the notification of their win. The members who would be elected on the minority seats and reserved seats of women would have to submit the details of expenditures.
On the other hand the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has unfrozen voters lists across the country and restored clause 18 of electoral rules.
After restoration of clause 18, new voters can be included and they can get lists changed.
It may be noted here that ECP had frozen voters lists following the announcement of election schedule on March 22.
