Eight killed, 40 others injured in Jafarabad blast

QUETTA, (SANA): At least eight people have been killed and over 40 have been injured in a blast in Dera Allahyar town of Jafarabad district in Balochistan.

According to details, the bomb was said to be planted in a rickshaw parked at the roadside, killing eight and injuring at least 40 and eight of those injured was said to be in critical condition and around a dozen shops were damaged in the vicinity.

The explosion took place on Quetta road at a bus terminal.

According to the DPO, the bomb which was planted in a rickshaw contained 20 kilograms of explosives. The bomb was detonated with a remote controlled device. The blast occurred in a busy market of Dera Allah Yar town.

Emergency and rescue teams reached the site of incident and expressed fears of an increase in the casualty numbers.

All victims were shifted to the District Head Quarters Hospital Dera Allahyar.
