FC man, civilian killed in Peshawar blast

fcPESHAWAR: At least two persons, including a Frontier Corps (FC) man, were killed in a bomb blast here on Friday night.

According to police the blast struck in Hayatabad, a modern suburb on the south-western fringe of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A taxi was also hit by the explosives.

The martyred soldier was identified as Jamal Hussain while one civilian was also killed.

Earlier, a bomb went off before the house of a bank officer in Zaryab Colony. The blast was heard far and wide due to its huge intensity.

According to the police, one kilogram explosive was used in the making of bomb, which was then placed in a paint container. Three people were wounded in the blast.
