Govt, Taliban talks moving forward in right direction: Pervez Rashid

prvez rasheedFederal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid here on Wednesday said that nation salutes Pakistan Army as it has been fighting against terrorism to give peace to the people. Pervaiz Rashid said that government-Taliban talks are moving forward in right direction.

Talking to media, Pervez Rashid said that Pakistan’s armed forces and intelligence agencies were rendering sacrifices in the war against terrorism and independent journalism in Pakistan was a result of these sacrifices.

He said that Martyrs Day was being observed to honour those who sacrificed their lives for the security of Pakistan. He said all institutions were independent due to the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces. According to Rashid independent journalism was not part of the terrorists’ agenda.

The minister appreciated sacrifices of armed forces, which ensured protection democracy, judiciary and journalism. He said that the terrorists want to snatch our freedom but the armed forces and intelligence agencies have rendered matchless sacrifices to foil their nefarious designs.

Pervez Rashid said that today (30th April) is the day to remember those who sacrificed their lives to ensure territorial integrity of the country and protection of people. To a question he said dialogue process with Taliban is moving forward hoping that it will be result-oriented.
The minister said that overcoming power theft is national agenda and government will make no compromise on it. He said Minister of State for Power Abid Sher Ali has launched a campaign against power stealers on directive of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
