ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Saturday expressed shock over joint investigation team (JIT) report of Baldia Town garment factory that stated it was not an accident but arson.
“Shocking to see such inhuman callousness by extortionist mafia which set fire to Baldia Town factory killing over 258 workers,” Khan said in a message posted on microblogging website.
Criticizing the government, the PTI chief said that the ruling elite has “complete disregard” for lives of ordinary citizens.
“Our ruling elite has complete disregard for lives of ordinary citizens. There must be an end to mafia politics & armed wings of pol (political) parties,” he tweeted.
It is pertinent to mention here that the JIT report, which was submitted to the court by the Rangers, a suspect, who is currently in the custody of paramilitary force has confessed to perpetrating incendiarism that killed nearly 300 factory works.
