HYDERABAD: Pakistan High Commissioner to New Delhi Salman Bashir has said that Pakistan and India need to take steps for confidence bridling measures as peace between the two countries was possible only through dialogue.
Salman Bashir said good neighbourly relations between the two countries are vital for peace‚ progress and prosperity in the region.
While talking to media in Hyderabad Deccan after attending a convocation‚ he said Pakistan wants friendly ties with India‚ as it is in the best interest of the two peoples.
Salman Bashir emphasized on confidence-building measures and dialogue to resolve all outstanding issues‚ including Kashmir‚ between the two countries.
He said India should desist from blame game and hurling baseless allegations on Pakistan‚ as they harm bilateral relations and add to tensions between the two countries. Slamn Bashir rejected the allegation against Pakistan regarding infiltration in Indian Occupied Kashmir. He said that the matter should be left on the concerned officials of armies of both countries. He said that terrorism and extremism have badly affected Pakistan and it should be seen how much sacrifices Pakistan has rendered in war against terrorism.
Offering talks to India, he said good neighborly relations between the two countries are needed for peace. ‘Pakistan wants friendly ties with India for the larger interest of both countries’, he said.
Bashir emphasized on dialogue to resolve all outstanding issues‚ including Kashmir.
