Karachi violence claims 10 lives

Karachi, Pakistan Marked on MapKARACHI: At least 10 people were killed and five others injured in separate incidents of violence in Karachi on Tuesday.

Four dead bodies were found in Sarjani Town near Northern Bypass. According to police, the victims were killed in firing. According to police, the bodies were recovered from Zero Point in Surjani Town. The victims were kidnapped and later shot dead, police added.

Rescue sources told that the deceased were identified as Samiullah, Hafeezullah and Muhammad Faisal while the identity of the fourth victim could not be ascertained.

A man namely Azeem Hussain Rizvi was shot dead in Orangi Town J-Sector while another namely Feroz Hussain was killed also in another sector of Orangi Town.

A dead body was found from a stream in Shah Faisal Colony while a man was shot dead by unidentified persons in Bhitaiabad area.

In another incident, some unknown armed motorcyclists gunned down a man in Mehran Town area.

On the other hand, police and Rangers launched targeted operation on a tip off of the presence of miscreants and gang war accused in Gul Muhammad Lane of Lyari and arrested two accused during door to door sear. 21 weapons of different type were also recovered from the accused.

Meanwhile, police and intelligence agencies arrested two activists of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during a raid in Baldia Ittehad Town.

According to police, the accused were involved in collecting donations and sending youngsters for training in Mohmand Agency.
