ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly on Wednesday asked the government to lodge protest with the Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad over recovery of Indian weapons from militants who attacked Karachi airport. Meanwhile the opposition parties have demanded of the prime minister to take important political personalities into confidence regarding the ground operation in North Waziristan Agency. The opposition parties have also agreed to devise joint course of action regarding the electoral reforms in country. The opposition parties said that no leniency would be given to government regarding the quorum during the budget session.
Speaking at a meeting of parliamentary leaders of opposition parities in the National Assembly, the PPP stalwart called on India to explain as to how militants got Indian weapons to attack Pakistani airport. “Do India has no control on its secret agency,” he asked.
Shah urged the government to fight against terrorist on the front foot, adding that the government was given mandate for elimination of terrorism but it did not benefit from the opportunity.
Syed Naveed Qamar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Sahibzada Tariqullah, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Dr Shireen Mazari, Tariq Bashir Cheema and others were also present in the meeting.
