LAHORE,(SANA): Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered that feeders of all markets should be closed from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm at night. The court ordered that unannounced load shedding should be ended at all costs.
The Chief Justice LHC Umar Ata Bandial on Tuesday conducted hearing of the petition filed against the unannounced load shedding.
Umar Ata Bandial said that WAPDA board of directors are ineligible, adding that appointments of the directors of power distribution companies should be made on merit. The court also summoned reply of all the appointments made.
Chief Justice LHC said that the dams can not be built unless the problems of the people are resolved.
The counsel said that power load management system is being installed at 6800 grid stations and through this the electricity theft and over billing would be stopped.
Chief Justice LHC said that after 10 years PEPECO recalled installing the power load management system.
He said that people do not need electricity for starting air-conditions, adding that people need electricity for business purpose and for the purpose of sleeping. He said that unannounced load shedding
should be ended at all costs.The court adjourned hearing of the case till June 19.
