Addressing his supporters at D-Chowk for the 52nd consecutive day on Saturday, Khan said that PTI would form the next government after the general elections, which would be held before next Eid.
He said nobody can become a leader through a will. “Nobody writes a letter, saying my son or husband will become the party’s after me,” he said, referring to Benazir Bhutto’s will in which she nominated Bilawal Zardari as party’ next chief in case of her demise.
“Mufti Mahmood was a good leader. But Maulana Fazlur Rehman became the leader due to his father.”
Without mentioning the name of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Khan said that no one can become a leader by taking money from Mehran Bank.
“I was not made a cricketer by G.H.Q. Nobody can achieve any milestone without a struggle,” he added.
The PTI chief said that petrol prices were cut by the government due to pressure exerted by the sit-ins. He was of the view that fuel prices would be further down in the coming months. –
