Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in police and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers in Model Town on Tuesday. He said that the culprits of the model town incident would be brought to justice.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, he assured that responsibility of the incident will be fixed in the light of the report of the Judicial Tribunal and immediate legal action will be taken against the culprits.
Deploring the loss of precious lives in the incident, Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan is currently faced with two challenges. On the one hand our armed forces are fighting against terrorists while on the other hand we are striving to put the economy on the right track.
However, the premier also warned that no one would be allowed to put the internal security and peace of the country at stake. He said those responsible for the loss of precious lives could not escape punishment and added that no one could disrupt the law and order situation of the country.
