Modi telephones PM Sharif to discuss ties

modiiiISLAMABAD: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi telephoned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday morning.

During their telephone conversation, both the leaders discussed the current state of relations between the two nuclear-armed nations.

PM Sharif stressed over cordial relations between the two countries which are essential for peace in South Asia.

He said that Islamabad wants to resolve all outstanding issues with New Delhi through peaceful means.

Modi telephoned PM Sharif a day after telephonic conversation between US President Barack Obama and PM Sharif to discuss regional security situation and relations between India and Pakistan.
