Mostly cold, dry weather expected: Met Office

metISLAMABAD: The met office Saturday forecast mainly cold and dry weather in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.

However, rain with light snow over the hills is expected at isolated places in Malakand and Hazara divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Meanwhile, westerly wave is still affecting northern parts of the country.

During last 24 hours, weather remained very cold and dry in most parts of the country.

However, rain occurred at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Malakand, Hazara and Peshawar divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The chief amount of rainfall recorded in millimetre was Rawalakot 8, Parachinar, Kotli, Balakot, Dir, Malam jabba 7, Pattan 6, Kakul 5, Lower dir, Mirkhani, Islamabad 3,
Garhi Dupatta, Rawalpindi, Saidu Sharif 2, Chirat, and Muzaffarabad 1.

Snowfall in inches: Kalam 4, and Malam Jabba 2.

Parachinar -8 C, Kalat -6 C, Malamjabba -5 C, Gupis, Skardu -4 C, Drosh, Astore, Hunza, Kalam, Quetta -2 C, Dir, Murree -1 C remained the coldest places.
