MQM to observe Yaum-e-Dua today for Altaf recovery
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has decided to observe Friday as ‘Yaum-e-Dua’ (Day of Prayer) for the wellbeing and early recovery of Muttahida chief Altaf Hussain.
Deputy Convener of Karachi’s Rabta Committee Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui read out a message from the party chief who directed all the workers to stay united during trying times.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said the entire nation is standing by Altaf Hussain, whose loyalists will raise their hands today in prayers for his speedy recuperation.
In his message, Altaf Hussain said, “I am a brave and fearless man. And, I have steely nerves during these testing moments.” Muttahida chief advised the workers to continue their peaceful struggle and maintain their pace for the cause of truth.
Altaf Hussain contacted the MQM’s London Secretariat and apprised the party’s office-bearers of his condition. He also requested the nation to pray for his good health.
