LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari will meet today (Saturday) on luncheon,
On Friday, PM Sharif extended luncheon invitation to Zardari, the Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), who accepted the invite.
Both the leaders, accompanied by their party stalwarts, will meet at Sharif’s Raiwind residence near Lahore this afternoon.
In their telephonic contact, the PM invited Zardari for a meeting in Raiwind following the lunch.
To come out of present political impasse, reports said, Sharif has sought assistance of Zardari, often referred as the ‘king of reconciliation’ in Pakistani politics.
Zardari has given the task to his senior colleague Syed Khursheed Shah, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, who has tried to convince protesting PTI and PAT for talks with PML-N government.
Zardari will be accompanied by Khursheed Shah, Aitezaz Ahsan, Leader of Opposition in the Senate and Mian Raza Rabbani, Parliamentary Leader PPP in Senate
