Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly , Syed Khursheed Shah has said that the decision of Prime Minister Nawaz to visit India is a positive step, saying that there should not be any politics on the matter.
While talking to media at the parliament house on Tuesday, after the in-camera meeting of the Public Accounts Committee of the National Assembly , Syed Khursheed Shah said that million of people are poverty-stricken and hunger- stricken in Pakistan and India, saying that both the countries will have to make efforts to resolve their issues.
He said that there is need to develop a pleasant atmosphere between both the countries for resolving the mutual issues, saying that the water issue, Kashmir issue and other issues can gradually be resolved.
He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by visiting India gave a positive message to the neighbour country and this meeting will have to taken in a positive way.
Khursheed Shah said that there is need that Pakistan and India should develop better relations. He said that Pakistan released 151 Indian fishermen, saying that India should also release the Pakistani prisoners to give a more positive message.
Earlier, the meeting of the PAC chaired by Syed Khursheed Shah was held in the parliament house . Auditor General was directed to attend the meeting in persons to explain the matter. The committee summoned the Auditor General on June 3.
