Nintendo forbids YouTubers from broadcasting live games through the Nintendo Creators program

Nintendo has updated the terms of the Nintendo Creators program so that members are no longer allowed to play on YouTube. The program has been running since 2015 and gives players the opportunity to earn a bit of advertising revenue from videos with Nintendo games. Change does not mean that players are not able to have Nintendo games in their YouTube videos, but live broadcasting of gameplay or other streaming games is no longer allowed.

It is a movement that allows Nintendo to return to its characteristic defensive character when it comes to its copyrighted material, and presents the members of the program with two options. The first is to send on a channel that is not registered with the Nintendo Creators program, the second is to log off the program. Needless to say the players are less happy than the change. People took Twitter to question the meaning by allowing players to broadcast live, but not when they are members of the program – many point out that this live streaming is essentially a free commercial for Nintendo, so there is little logic to prohibit it.
