ISLAMABAD, (SANA): Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan while giving policy statement on terroristincidents of Balochistan in National Assembly said four terrorists attacked the Ziarat residency of Quaid-e-Azam. He said two security guards of residency have been taken into custody for interrogation. He said joint investigation team has been formed for investigation of Ziarat and Quetta incidents, adding that the report of the incidents would be presented before the parliament. He said truth behind the attacks would be brought before the masses.
He said woman suicide bomber targeted the women university bus and four terrorists were killed in Bolan Medical Complex. Nisar said one alleged terrorist has been arrested from BMC but he has reservations on this. Nisar said investigation is in progress from the arrested terrorist and he will inform the NA in next one day weather the arrested person is terrorist or not. Nisar said all efforts would be made for restoring peace in Balochistan and for the security of the Pakistanis. He said dialogue will only be held with those who would be ready to lay arms.
He said 14 girls were killed in university bus attack and 10 persons including DC Quetta, four FC personnel, four nurses and one doctor were killed in BMC attack. He said security agencies have failed in protection of Red Zone in Quetta. Nisar said government would announce new security policy on 20th and 21st June.
The National Assembly resumed its session in Islamabad Monday with Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in the chair.
Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan briefed the House about his visit to Quetta said that according to initial reports four terrorists were involved and a female suicide bomber exploded the bus.
He said a total twenty-four casualties have been reported including Deputy Commissioner Quetta, FC and Anti-Terrorist Force officials. He said one suspected terrorist is under custody and interrogation is underway.
Chaudhary Nisar said that a meeting has been convened of civil armed forces on 20th of this month and we will announce security policy on very next day. He said that the peace could only be restored through dialogues and healing the wounds, adding that if anyone would not implement the resolution of parliament then would become hurdle in its way .He assured the House that residency of Quaid-e-Azam will be renovated in its original shape within three to four months.
The Interior Minister said that he will also visit Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh to talk with the Chief Ministers and Governors and Federal Government will ensure full support to provinces in terms of intelligence sharing, police force, rangers and FC.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan told the House that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is planning to convene a high level meeting to take input of all political leadership of the country on security issues of the country.
