Pak, India should make serious efforts to resolve disputes: Nawaz

JEDDA, (SANA): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan wanted better relations with all its neighbours. He said that the progress and development is not possible without peace. He said both counties should have to initiate serious dialogue process for the resolution of long standing disputes. Nawaz said he was the prime minister of whole country and uniting the whole country is his responsibility.

In a meting with delegation of Pakistan Journalist Forum after his arrival in Madina Munawara, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said progress and prosperity cannot be achieved without peace.

Nawaz said threat will persist for regional peace until Pakistan and India will not bring balance in arms race.

The premier said Pakistan and India should make serious efforts to resolve disputes, adding both the neighbors can cut defense budget like the US and Russia. He said we have to bring balance in the armed race; otherwise the threats to the peace and security of the region will continue to persist. He said both countries instead of starting armed race should have to concentrate on the infrastructure development. He said that the Gawadar port and economic gateway would become the economic and trade hub of the world. He said Pakistan, China, Russia, Afghanistan and Central Asian states would get benefit from this economic gateway of Pakistan.

Nawaz Shairf the government during the next three and half years will not only be in the position of coping the demand of electricity but it would be able to export it to other countries. He said that the strategy has been finalized for overcoming the electricity problem in next three to four years.
