Pakistan‚ Afghanistan‚ Turkey agree to foster anti-terror cooperation
Three-day trilateral summit concluded in Turkey’s Ankara city where leaders of Pakistan‚ Turkey and Afghanistan agreed to continue joint efforts for the promotion of peace and regional stability. The summit was attended by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif‚ Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, followed by a joint statement in which the three countries pledged to continue close consultations to support peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan. The three countries also agreed on intelligence sharing in order to enhance cooperation against terrorism, calling upon the international community for support in regional peace efforts and security issues. The three leaders pledged to support the peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan with Taliban’s inclusion.
