Pakistan, India accuse each other of LoC violations

pakistan-ispr-and-defence-newsRAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army has accused the Indian army of violating the Line of Control (LoC) in Sialkot again on Wednesday

A Spokesperson of ISPR has said that during last two days, Indian troops have intensified violations and carried out unprovoked firing on working boundary in Pukhlian, Chaprar, Harpal and Charwah Sectors near Sialkot, and targeted civil populated areas.

According to the statement issued by ISPR Indian BSF also targeted 27 Pakistani posts in the same area in last two days and fired almost four thousand mortar shells and fifty nine thousand rounds of machine guns. Pakistani troops have effectively responded to Indian firing.

During last 2 weeks, due to indian shelling 2 civilians and a Ranger’s soldier has embraced shahadat and 26 civilians have been injured on working boundary and LOC.

Meanwhile, Indian Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said villagers were fleeing their homes because of repeated firing from Pakistan.
This is the latest in the ongoing violations of the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan where both countries claim the other was responsible for the attack.

Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Wednesday said that India will give befitting reply to Pakistan. The Home Minister further said that additional BSF troops are being rushed to Pakistan border.

Shinde had said stern action would be initiated in the matter as he asserted that the issue of ceasefire violations would be taken up with Pakistan at a meeting of the Directors General of Military Operations of the two countries.
