Pakistan seeks Chinese cooperation in energy sector

bjngBEIJING: Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif says Pakistan is seeking intensified cooperation from China in the energy sector to overcome power crisis.

Talking to Chairman Exim Bank in Beijing‚ he said four new energy blocks would be set up in the country to attract foreign investment.
He said Chinese companies are playing a major role in changing the situation in Pakistan and these companies have a strong commitment to Pakistan and its economy

The Chairman Exim Bank assured full cooperation for various energy development projects in Pakistan.
Both sides also discussed investment in different projects of alternate energy resources in Pakistan.

Later‚ the Head of China’s Economic Corridor also called on the Minister.
