PML-L leader Arbab Rahim meets Shahbaz Sharif

LAHORE, (SANA): Pakistan Muslim League-Likeminded (PML-L), President and former provincial chief minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim has called on Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore.

In the meeting held in Model Town here on Wednesday, both the leaders discussed prevailing political situation in the country besides matter of electoral alliance. Shahbaz Sharif welcomed Arbab Ghulam Rahim back in the country.

Arbab Ghulam Rahim, who was in self-exile in the UAE for quite some time, landed here at the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Wednesday morning.

Haroon Akhtar Khan, Senator Ghaffar Hashmi, the party’s Sindh chapter chief Arbab Lutfullah, Pervez Malik MNA, deputy speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashhood Ahmed and other leaders were present during the meeting.

Mian Shahbaz Sharif while welcoming the Arbab Ghulam Rahim back in the country said that upcoming general elections in the country are not being held for change of the government, but for the integrity of the country.

Shahbaz Sharif said that it is believed that the masses would elect the devoted and the honest leadership in the upcoming general elections in the country.

He said that country is passing through the critical period, adding that the correct decision of the people would take the country towards the right direction.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the incapable rulers of the Pakistan People’s party (PPP) have placed the masses along the wall, adding that people would put down the idols of corruption through the power of their votes in the upcoming general elections.

Meanwhile, while addressing a ceremony at the occasion of distribution of documents among the residents of the ‘Kuchi abadis’ regarding proprietary rights and distribution of solar lamps and laptops on merit among the students in the Agricultural University Faisalabad, Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government in its five years term carried out the developmental projects in the province in the transparent manners.

He said that Transparency International (TI) has declared the Metro Bus Project as the transparent project, adding that this is the evidence of the good governance of the Punjab government.
