PML-N had already planned Faisalabad violence: Khan

imran khanISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan blamed the ruling PML-N for violence in Faridabad where one of his supporters was killed in firing.

“In the democracy a peaceful protest is right of everyone. It’s responsibility of the state to protect a peaceful protest, but instead the rulers unleashed their Gullu Butts for bloodshed in Faisalabad,” he said while speaking to reporters at his Bani Gala residence in Islamabad before leaving for Faisalabad.

“Our crime is that we demand justice,” Khan said, and vowed to get an FIR registered in Faridabad.

A 23-year-old Asghar Ali was killed when shots were fired on a group protesting at Novelty Bridge of the city. Medics said Ali received a bullet in his abdomen.

Police said the suspected shooter has been identified as Shahid, a resident of Saman Abad area, adding that raids were being conducted for his arrest.

Faisalabad has been witnessing a state of chaos and violence as result of clashes between supporters of PTI and ruling PML-N.
