KARACHI: Former President and co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari and Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain again agreed to mend fences and work with each other.
In a telephonic conversation overnight, the former president and MQM chief discussed several national issues including Senate elections, according to Muttahida’s statement issued from Nine Zero—the MQM’s headquarters.
The two leaders vowed to renew relationship between PPP and MQM.
The leaders of two major parties of Sindh discussed the past mistakes and resolved not to repeat them in future.
Agreeing on the principle of coexistence in the province, the two leaders also decided that the 40:60 ratio will be ensured in all spheres of governance in its letter and spirit.
The PPP leader also assured that genuine grievances of the MQM will be addressed honestly. Both the leaders agreed that their parties will continue dialogues on regular basis in future. –
