ISLAMABAD, (SANA): Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Tehreeke-Insaf have started efforts to form joint opposition for adopting joint strategy on national issues and to give tough time to government in the parliament. They also have decided to include other parliamentary groups in the joint opposition. Both parties have prepared strategy to give tough time to government during the budget session.
PTI’s deputy parliamentary leader in National Assembly Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi met with Opposition leader Khurshid Shah in his office. MQM representative was also present as were Dr Arif Alvi and Dr Mazari of PTI. It was an informal discussion focused on the budget and devising a coordinated strategy for the opposition parties in the upcoming budgetary debate.
There was unanimity over which ministries would be the focus of cut motions. Eight inistries were identified. There was also unanimity on all the main opposition parties being provided chambers as the precedence was already there.
