Under the ordinance, the writ of the state would be maintained through the power of law at all cost. The elements causing terror or terrorism would be considered enemies of the country and speedy and stern action against such elements would be ensured under the laws of the state.
It has been said in the aims of the ordinance that end of terrorism and extremism from the country should be ensured.
Any interference in the affairs of the state would not be allowed and the rights of the people would be protected.
It was said in the ordinance that the investigations of the incidents of terrorism would be jointly conducted by the law enforcement institutions and the intelligence agencies.
The presidency sources have confirmed that the President Mamnoon Hussain has signed the ‘Protection of Pakistan Ordinance’ and the draft was sent to the President house after the approval of Prime Minister. In the next phase, the ordinance would be tabled in the parliament and then it would be presented in the form of bill for approval.
