The funeral prayers for the eternal peace of the slain activist will be offered today. Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan also pledged their support for today’s mourning. A delegation of the two parties will attend the funeral prayers.
Meantime, PTI is all geared up to get its protest off the ground in Faisalabad following the killing of its workers.
The PTI will also hit the roads to protest across the country. The funeral prayer will be offered in absentia in different cities.
The PTI announced to take out a rally from Peshawar Press Club and lay siege to Governor House today.
Meantime, PTI Sindh President Nadir Akmal Leghari also planned a protest demonstration in Karachi’s Regal Chowk today.
Contrarily, the capital police readied a security plan, according to which, at least 1500 personnel of police force have been deployed to stand guard on different locations around the capital in order to divert today’s potentially volatile situation from turning into flashpoint.
The police sources asserted roads will not be allowed to be closed today on the occasion; however, no action will be cranked up against the peaceful demonstrators.
The sources also disclosed that police have laid out a plan for mass arrests of the PTI activists today.
