Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the citizens would be provided flour bags at subsidized rates in the open market also besides Ramazan bazaars, while 2,000 free meal service centers across the province would also be set up for Sehri and Iftar
This was announced by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif while addressing a high level meeting on Sunday.
It was decided that 360 Ramazan bazaars and 334 fair price shops would be set up all over the province, where 10 essential items would be made available on wholesale rates.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the green colour flour bags at subsidized rates would be available in Ramazan bazaars and grey colour in open market. He also directed that 2,000 free meal centers at Iftari and Sehri times also be set up for the convenience of fasting people.

Shahbaz Sharif said that nine provincial minister with the assistance of local MPs would monitor the facilities in nine divisions of the province during Ramadan. The model bazaar, Friday bazaar, Sunday bazaar and sahulat bazaar would be changed into Ramadan bazaars.
The stalls of the utility stores would also be set up in Ramadan bazaars. Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the effective monitoring would be done for the provision of quality household commodities during the Ramadan. He said that the cabinet committee could use his personal helicopter for the visits of far flung areas of province during Ramadan.
The meeting was attended by provincial ministers Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan, Dr Farrukh Javed, Bilal Yasin, Chaudhry Muhammad Shafiq Anwar, MNA Muhammad Afzal Khokhar, Chief Secretary Punjab Naveed Akram Cheema , IG Police Punjab Khan Baig and other high officials.
