Qaim Ali Shah elected Sindh Chief Minister for third time

KARACHI, (SANA): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Syed Qaim Ali Shah has been elected asChief Minister of the Sindh province for the third time by securing 86 votes.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidate for CM slot Sardar Ahmed got 48 votes while Imtiaz Sheikh of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) obtained 18 votes. It is worth mentioning here that Syed Qaim Ali Shah has already served as CM Sindh from 1988 t0 1990 and from 2008 to 2013.

Speaking to the media, Qaim Ali Shah said he would not disappoint the people.

Earlier, PPP leaders Agha Siraj Durrani and Shehla Raza were elected as the speaker and deputy speaker of the Sindh Assembly with securing 87 and 86 votes respectively.
