ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Patron-in-Chief Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said the public Parliament would take place at the venue of Inqilab March at 5pm today; then, the people’s Parliament will take decisions.
Addressing the participants of the Inqilab March sit-in at Khayaban-e-Suharwardi here, he said the revolution cannot be delayed or cancelled now, and this revolution will not make a retreat without changing the destiny of the nation.
The sun of revolution will rise today when Public Parliament will take up decisions, he announced, inviting every citizens of Pakistan to physically join the sit-in and personally view the historic moments.
It should be mentioned here that Dr. Qadri was speaking to the sit-in after a deadline tendered by him to the incumbent rulers to dissolve assemblies, came to an end today.
The sit-ins have been started in all four provinces on call by Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan, Sunni Ittehad Council and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), he announced. He invited all the sections of society to ensure their attendance at this historic moment.
The PAT chief said, “I said on oath that I do not seek any personal benefit from this revolution. I do not take royalty worth millions of rupees from 500 books authored by me. I am waging a war for the rights of the poor.”
“All the participants of Inqilab March merit great felicitations on making this endeavor a massive success. Our workers were vehemently baton-charged and tear-gassed in Model Town. 25,000 workers were detained who could not go back home till this day,” he noted.
The credit of revolution goes to 14 martyrs of Model Town Tragedy and to those who were bullet-riddled in June 17 massacre, he said.
Revolution does not readily take place, as it demands blood. Revolution does not take place with people living comfortably at homes, just raising their hands in prayers against the oppressors and wrongdoers, he said urging the citizens of Pakistan to come out of their houses to get back their hitherto denied rights.
Citing Quranic verses, he said Allah decreed Hazrat Musa (A.S.) to rise up against the despot Pharaoh, adding Musa (A.S.) called upon his nation to clash against the oppressor. On his call, youths stood up, he added.
Having been made struck with awe and fright, the obsequious nation declined to move against the ruler; then, Allah confounded them for 40 years in dismal state, Dr. Qadri stated from the holy Quran.
The PAT chief said the timid and enslaved nation are shorn of courage to clash against the injustices, as such nations keep on falling down in abysmal servility.
Dr. Qadri urged on the Pakistanis staying back at their houses to join hands and become a part of the revolution, adding, “It is now haram for Pakistanis to sit back at their houses, according to Islam, as this is the mission of Hussain (R.A.) to win back the rights for the people.”
Earlier, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan (MWM) head Allama Raja Nasir Abbas said the democracy did not sanction the rulers to be assassins; but, the dark night of oppression and transgression under the rule of Sharif government is bound to evaporate in the thin air.
Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain asserted that Nawaz Sharif has no other option but quit the government.
