Zardari says non-traditional solution for Karachi problem; says all efforts aimed at postponing elections to be foiled

KARACHI, (SANA): President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday said that non-traditional solution would be found to make Karachi a safe city. He added that government tenure was finishing and next time security would be focused, says all efforts aimed at postponing elections to would be foiled.

Addressing on the occasion of inauguration of Zulfikarabad Express Way in CM House Karachi, he said caretaker governments in the country would be formed according to the constitution and the date for the upcoming elections would be announced on the due time.

Asif Ali Zardari said that a new history would be created in the country by holding transparent elections in the country on the scheduled time. He said that completion of the term by the democratic government in the country proves that today the democratic system in the country has been strengthened and stable.

President Zardari said that alliance of PPP, ANP and MQM could safe Karachi, added that, alliance of the said parties stopped ways of non state actors.

He said that PPP government initiated people welfare project according to the promises it made. He said that health center being set up on Tehsil level. He said that safe Karachi has capability to bear the load of whole the country.

The president said that critics of PPP, ANP and MQM alliance should think that if they do not make alliance then what happened with the country. He said that there was need to strengthen Karachi with the help of political power.

Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad said that initiation of development projects in Karachi was result of conciliation policies of President Asif Ali Zardari and Altaf Hussain. He said that all political forces would have to work collectively to get rid of terrorism and insurgency.

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah said that in urban areas well establised hospitals would be set up. He added that Zulfikarabad City project would be a mile stone in the history of Pakistan.

Earlier, President Zardari presided over a high level meeting in which overall political and security situation was discussed.
